Rosemary Lemonade Bath Salts

This recipe has been kindly provided to DIY Beauty Diva by Becky from Crafting a Green World. Bath salts are one of the most fun and easy DIY beauty recipes to try and this particular recipe contains no artificial fragrances or colourings.

Epsom salts are the go-to bath treatment for many celebrities, models and actresses. Doctors and researchers say that soaking in an Epsom salt bath is a safe, easy way to increase the body’s levels of both magnesium and sulfate. Epsom salt is a pure mineral compound (magnesium sulfate) in crystal form that gently exfoliates skin and smoothes rough patches.

This recipe mainly uses cedarwood essential oil which is antibacterial, astringent and antiseptic. The essential oil is good for oily skin and is valuable for use on skin eruptions. Cedarwood oil helps to treat acne by minimising sebum production and tightening the skin pores. Blended with zingy lemongrass and energy-boosting rosemary, these bath salts will have a woody, zesty fragrance that even the men in your house will not be able to resist!
